Artist's Comments

I constructed this image last night using the first biro that came to hand and afterwards a scanner and photoshop.

I like the bleak colours, angular architecture and the shading style. I don't know why I am so attracted to desatured colours, but I am.
This would go well on a wall I think.

Please give a bit of crit.

I like the colours and the texture of the buildings.
The background works well too.

Nice look overall.

I like the way you havent refined the biro outline too much and made it look quite messy.

Nice mix of traditional and photoshop, though I think the shape on the top right side looks a bit out of place.

I dig the colours too, great drawing.

~ this is like Aeon Flux influenced to me. lost washed colors and scratchy style on the home front w/ paramilitary complex inflections. tight (and loose!). good 'un!

Thanks mate. I've seen the start of Aeon Flux, but that's all set in the clean, controlled environment. Should try and catch the rest of the movie some time.

I did all of the colouring in Photoshop, yes. The linework was done on paper and scanned.
I typically set a layer to Multiply, so that over black and white line art the lines will show through and I can colour digitally.
